Responsibilities

Job Summary: The Data Architect is responsible for designing, creating, and managing Prominence Health's enterprise data architecture and data architecture standards. This role is critical in establishing a solid foundation for enterprise data at Prominence Health and ensuring that data is organized securely and consistently to enable interconnectivity across functional data assets. The Data Architect will be responsible for setting standards around data modeling, data integration and data engineering best practices and data security design. This is a highly collaborative role where the architect will provide standards and guidance to functional data architects and partner with the enterprise architecture function to deliver the optimal data solutions for Prominence Health. As the Data Architect you will be a key member of the team driving data driven thinking at Prominence Health and unlocking the value of enterprise data.


Qualifications

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelors in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field required.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in design and implementation of data models for enterprise data warehouse / data lake initiatives
  • Experience leading projects involving data warehousing, data modeling, and data security.
  • Experience working in highly collaborative cross-functional teams and delivering solutions through both waterfall and agile project delivery.
  • Proficient in one or more programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL required.
  • Prior experience in highly regulated industry environment required, experience in pharmaceuticals, biotech industry preferred.
  • Proficiency in the design and implementation of modern data architectures and concepts such as cloud services (AWS) and modern data warehouse tools (Snowflake, Databricks) preferred.
  • Experience with data engineering tools such as Informatica PowerCenter / IICS and data modeling tools
  • Understanding of entity-relationship modeling, metadata systems, and data quality tools and techniques
  • Able to think strategically and relate architectural decisions and recommendations to business needs.
  • Able to assess traditional and modern data architecture components and overall solution design based on business needs.
  • Experience with business intelligence tools and technologies such as Power BI, and Tableau
  • Passionate about promoting a data driven culture while operating with the highest integrity and ensuring responsible and ethical data usage.
  • Has a 'service' mentality, recognizing and promoting the enabling value that data can provide to the business.
  • Able to regularly learn and adopt new technology, especially in the ML/AI realm.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a positive 'can do' approach to solutioning.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to synthesize and clearly communicate large volumes of complex information to senior management.
  • Strong collaborator in complex, cross-functional teams involving data scientists, business analysts, and stakeholders.
  • Committed to forming trusting, collaborative and strategic partnerships with internal stakeholders and develop pragmatic, innovative approaches to meet complex data needs and maximize business value.
