Job Description

Responsible for coordinating the operational aspects of the Championship by working with the team on a variety of activities related to the Championship S.P.E.C program.

RESPONSIBILITIES (Specific areas of responsibility include but are not limited to):

Work with management to ensure the accurate and timely information exchange involved in the planning, design, development, and operation of the Championship S.P.E.C. plan, to include all vendor, local government, staff and host site communications.

Assist management of creation and coordination of Championship Road signage plans with outside vendors, local Department of Transportation and Law Enforcement.

Assist law enforcement agencies, local government, and medical services agencies in the coordination of all onsite operational needs.

Assist in the administration of S.P.E.C. program, including but not limited to parking grid and shuttle grid creation, directions and maps, parking lot and shuttle depot set-up, and Championship week execution.

Assist management with local law enforcement agencies in developing the Championship Incident Action Plan.

Work in coordination with the Operations Manager in managing the parking, security and shuttle vendors.

Attend and assist management with the coordination of medical, security and transportation meetings.

Assist with procurement and organization of materials for local permitting.

Manage the timeline, scheduling, and buildout of all off site parking lots and bus terminals.

Assist with Championship credential program.

Assist management with administrative duties, such as typing, mailings, etc.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's Degree (B.A./B.S.) preferred.

Two years related experience in an operational and/or business environment.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

Must have knowledge in operations of a Championship. Ability to build relationships with representatives from local agencies, committees, and other strategic partners. Ability to work on various projects and programs as assigned. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suite.

Ability to stand for long periods of time and transport moderately heavy tournament equipment and supplies.

*The scope of the various Championships will vary, however, the general duties, skills, knowledge and abilities to perform the functions of this position remain constant. The word Championship throughout this description is defined to mean PGA Championship or Ryder Cup.

The approximate salary range for this position in New York, NY is $30-$32 an hour. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
